ACADEMICS

  • Maria (Fall 2019): Mandatory attendance but very interesting classes. Adapted to business in South America and other very up to date topics

  • Sarah (Spring 2019): Rather qualitative than quantitative classes (e.g., macro with many essays, end-of-term paper); BPs with many cool local companies (e.g., Chilean StartUp, Chilean Meat producer, Patagonia...)

CITY LIFE

  • Maria (Fall 2019): The city is huge. Lots of clubs and food options for all tastes and budget. Public transport is frequente but always super full

  • Sarah (Spring 2019): Santiago is not a pretty city (rather american, lots of malls) and rather polluted - but the surrounding and rest of the country is absolutely stunning!

CEMS Life

  • Maria (Fall 2019): Amazing. Small cohort. Half Chileans, half gringos which makes a perfect balance. CEMS Club with a lot of initiatives. LATAM forum is super fun with very hot topics,

  • Sarah (Spring 2019): Very active, cozy class-feeling with around 30 very well connected students, not the typical "Justus" business student

HOUSing

  • Maria (Fall 2019): You can get anything between 250-600€ per month in shared apartments depending on the area. I would advise Providência, Las Condes, or Grécia. Rent mostly in cash, better see before paying anything

  • Sarah (Spring 2019): Arriving a bit in advance to take care of housing locally is fine, there are many "student houses" where each student has a room, some people got the housing from previous CEMS generation

PRIce of one beer

  • Maria (Fall 2019): Meal in restaurant 15€, 1 beer - 1,5€, Pisco - 7€ a bottle

  • Sarah (Spring 2019): Rather expensive (European level)
